Flit

Privacy

Flit collects nothing.

The extension runs inside Safari on your Mac. It has no analytics and no accounts. Your settings (keybindings, scroll options, excluded sites) are stored in Safari's extension storage on your Mac and go nowhere else.

The one network request Flit makes is search suggestions for the o bar. As you type there, the text is sent to the search engine you picked in Flit's settings so it can suggest completions, the same way Safari's own address bar does. It is sent without cookies and only while “Include search engine suggestions” is on. Turn it off and Flit sends nothing anywhere. Private windows are Safari's call: unless you have allowed Flit in Private Browsing (off by default, in Safari's Extensions settings), it doesn't load there at all.
